The project Firefighter neighborhood qualifies as a clear acceptance of responsibility and a driving role in the protection and production of urban security as a right and as a social good. The instruments that are identified are those of local activities and networking, participatory approaches that privilege in the field of preventive measures, law enforcement and repair in crime, incivility, widespread urban disorder. Based on this awareness, our idea is built on two parallel lines:


  • security is understood as the good health of the social fabric of relations and communication between people, which is essential for you to fulfill the full solidarity
  • good security is not broken down into a number of elements taken separately. The preventive and restorative capacity that a local authority is able to express, or capabilities of repression, containment and deterrence of the police, remain partial response ( though important) to the sense of insecurity if not involved in synergy in a complex system of coordinated actions.

The idea of \u200b\u200bthe Firefighter of the district, is part of this complex issue and articulated it is the safety and legality, which must be answered differently by action coordination of all relevant bodies. This idea stems from a structural aspect of our territory - just think of extending mainly to the urban and densely populated village of Vallemarina and La Villa - and the need to implement the policy of administrative decentralization, with the aim of improving services and the security situation of our municipality, as part of an interaction between citizens, the eve of the neighborhood and bodies involved in the solution of the problems and inconveniences reported.

The main functions of the Firefighter of the district are:


  • protection of urban quality, which includes surveillance in public spaces, monitoring of pollution problems, to illegal construction, verification of the occupations of land, also highlighting any situation of environmental degradation to the decor and furnishings, as well as actively dealing with mobility and security road
  • civil society, namely improving the quality of real-life relationship between citizens of the same town, controlling and combating the disturbing the peace and promoting leisure activities in general, watching in front of schools, overseeing points of groups of young people, maintaining contacts with the voluntary associations and associations social, supervising the trade in general, addressing the problems and disagreements between individuals but not close nature of private-civil;
  • social security, that is, assessment and combating acts of hooliganism, vandalism and constant degradation of important signaling security structures ( fences, equipment ).
